Metcalfe County teen has prize-winning tobacco

 

(Glasgow Daily Times) Harley Hawkins wears many hats.
The 16-year-old from Edmonton is a junior at Metcalfe County High School, where she’s quite active in Future Farmers of America. She helps out on her family’s farm, barrel races with her horses and trap shoots.
She also had a champion burley tobacco entry at the Kentucky State Fair in August, which was another reason Harley was recognized Tuesday by MCHS Principal Kelly Bell as the student of the month at the Metcalfe County Schools Board of Education meeting. Continued
