INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. (tahoebonanza.com) Following an evening with Mark Twain at Piper's Opera House last month, a jovial looking fellow handed me a Churchill-sized cigar and extended a rare invitation.
“A few of us boys are getting together in a barn in the Pine Nut Mountains this Thursday at two o'clock to smoke cigars, sip whiskey and swap stories. We'd enjoy the pleasure of your company if you're so inclined.”
“I might be a few minutes late,” I responded without a moment's hesitation, “on account of my designated driver being 90 years old and blind in one eye.” Continued
