Malawi tobacco sales down by at least 35 percent

(malawitoday.com) Tobacco proceeds will fall by at least thirty five percent this year in comparison to last year.
The Tobacco Control Commission (TCC) has revised downwards this year’s national tobacco revenue projections from $300 million (K50.1 billion) to $270 million (K45.09 billion).
Last year, tobacco, which is Malawi's mainstay, raked in $410 million.
