(Springfield Sun) Springfield Township High School senior Alison Goetz used her family as inspiration for a benefit she organized for her senior seminar Jan. 6. Goetz, of Oreland, decided to plan an event called “Have a Cigar, and You’re Gonna Go Far” at the Flourtown Country Club to benefit and “broadcast” a nonprofit she started with her family. “My family and I started working toward becoming certified as a legitimate nonprofit organization since this past summer,” Goetz said Jan. 5.
