Guntur (Deccan Chronicle) Rains during the last week damaged tobacco crop in 32.500 hectares in the state. The crop loss was mainly due to water-logging in the agriculture fields in Krishna, Guntur, Prakasam and West Godavari districts.
The crop damage was more in West Godavari and Praksam districts. The Tobacco Board officials inspected the damaged crop in West Godavari, Krishna and Prakasam districts and estimated the loss to be Rs 260 crore. Continued
