(NewsChief.com) Preservationists have just one month to raise funds, public support or a plan, or they will lose the Thompson Cigar Factory in Bartow [Florida].
On May 19, the Polk County Commission voted to have the building demolished rather than spend public funds to restore the building as an attraction.
However, commissioners gave preservationists until Nov. 1 to come up with a plan for funding to restore the building, if they want it saved. Continued
