Ernesto Padilla has a small-run, box-pressed smoke that should be ready for consumers in 90 days. Padilla Vintage Reserve will feature numbered bands and boxes, a broadleaf wrapper grown in Pennsylvania and an all-Nicaraguan binder and filler.
Padilla said the broadleaf wrapper wouldn’t be jet-black, but rather a reddish-brown color. “It’s not fully cooked,” he said while puffing a cigar in New York City during a visit to the Cigar Aficionado offices. Continued
