Davidoff Selects 5 Artists for International Art Residency

(blouin art info) In 2013, the luxury tobacco brand Davidoff announced the launch of its initiative to support Caribbean artists offering them the opportunity to participate in internationally recognized artist-in-residence programs while also bringing artists from around the world to the Dominican Republic to take up residencies at the Altos de Chavón School of Design, the country’s leading institution for art and design education.
The Davidoff Art Initiative started with five Caribbean artists selected to spend time in New York, Berlin, or Beijing and now it’s the turn of five international artists to experience the Caribbean’s influences. Continued
