Alabama cigar boom prompts Huntsville native to expand Madison business to the Shoals

 

(AL.com) A lifelong cigar smoker who watched his parents run a successful RV company for nearly three decades in Huntsville is expanding his own small business in northwest Alabama.
Donald Waddell, whose 3-year-old Cigar Room in Madison is featured in this month's edition of Cigar & Spirits Magazine, is opening a second 1,500-square-foot store next month in Florence.
The Cigar Room, located on U.S. 72 in the Waddell Shopping Center, has experienced significant growth since opening in April 2011.
Last year, the business doubled its Madison footprint with a game room, added retail space and expanded walk-in humidor. Continued
