Tobacco farmers face contract cuts



(Tennessean) In a time that many tobacco farmers are just starting to seed, some area dark fire growers were informed earlier this month that their contracts for this year would be cut or scaled back.
William Elliot, a grower from Cedar Hill, said he was informed on March 1 that Hail & Cotton would only be able to offer him a partial contract this year.
