(Liverpool Echo) A CIGAR box once owned by the captain of doomed passenger liner Titanic sold for £25,000 at a Liverpool auction.
The antique walnut humidor was found earlier this month sitting on a Merseyside woman’s bedside cabinet.
It was identified as once belonging to Captain Edward Smith, who was at the helm of the ill-fated White Star Line vessel as she sunk with 1,517 people onboard in 1912. Continued
