Bulgaria's Cabinet agreed on May 4 2011 to give 70 million leva to the country's tobacco producers, to be provided from the 2011 Budget national co-payment funds.
Tobacco producers, who threatened nationwide protests last month, signed an agreement with Agriculture Minister Miroslav Naidenov and Finance Minister Simeon Dyankov in mid-April, with which the Government committed to extending financial aid to the sector this year. Continued
