U.S. Military Hikes Cigarette Prices on Bases



(CSN) WASHINGTON, D.C. - Buying cigarettes on U.S. military bases is going to get a little pricier. Citing an April 8 memo, Reuters reported that U.S. Defense Secretary Ash Carter has issued new policy guidelines aimed at curbing tobacco use within the military that include raising the prices of tobacco on military bases to match local market prices.
