FDA officials to visit tobacco farms

(The Hill) The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) plans to tour tobacco farms around the country this fall, even though they are not currently regulated by the agency.

The FDA’s Center for Tobacco Products is setting up the voluntary tours, which it insisted are not intended to be inspections but instead to help public health regulators “gain a better understanding of tobacco farming.” Continued
