(StarAfrica.com) The Tobacco Control Commission (TCC) in Malawi has commenced the assessment of damages to tobacco by floods after heavy rains in recent months.
TCC Chief Executive Officer Bruce Munthali admitted to the local press on Tuesday that the heavy rains and floods have not spared tobacco, negatively affecting the crop in some parts of the country citing, leaching, curing and weed controlling as some of the areas hardly hit. Continued
