J.R. Cigars to leave Statesville at year's end

 

(Statesville.com) J.R. Cigars will close its discount outlet in Statesville at the end of December, according to several sources familiar with the matter.
“Their lease runs out this year, and it was decided not to renew the lease,” said Robb Collier, whose family owns Newtowne Plaza shopping center, where J.R. Cigars is situated at 1515 E. Broad St.
After closing in Statesville, J.R. Cigars will resume its operations at a new location in Mooresville sometime in early 2015, a representative of the company’s corporate office in northern New Jersey said Wednesday. Continued
