Franklin Park company rides growth of smokeless tobacco

 

 

(Suntimes.com) The first sign one might see when entering the back door of the tobacco factory at 11601 Copenhagen Court reads “No Smoking Beyond This Point.”
That’s not ironic. In September, U.S. Smokeless Tobacco will celebrate the 40th anniversary of its move to Franklin Park without a cigarette in sight.
The company processes, packages and distributes chewing tobacco and snus, a newer product with a tobacco variety in a teabag type material that doesn’t incite spitting. Among the company’s better-known brands are Copenhagen and Skoal. Continued
