Presentation on historic tobacco barns slated Sept. 5 at museum

 (yourgv.com) A staple of the landscape of Halifax County, the old-style log tobacco barns are slowly disappearing from the scene.
The public is invited to come to the South Boston/Halifax County Museum on Friday, Sept. 5, at 7 p.m. for a presentation on the styles, structure and building materials used to erect these barns.
Expert Sonja Ingram will speak on these things as part of the museum’s preparation for their newest exhibit about the history of tobacco in the county. Continued
