Storm Touches Down in Connecticut Tobacco Country



(Cigar Aficionado) A fast-moving thunderstorm and suspected tornado hit the Connecticut River Valley today [1st], causing some level of damage to at least one tobacco field.
Tobacco growers in the Valley confirmed news reports that shade netting in Windsor Locks, Connecticut, had been ripped from a tobacco field, ending up in trees and on power lines. Photos sent to Cigar Aficionado showed tobacco netting strewn about a neighborhood. Continued
