MPP Toby Barrett enlists help for unpaid tobacco growers in Norfolk

(cd989.com) Local MP Toby Barrett says there’s some help on the way for about 60 Norfolk tobacco farmers who haven’t being paid for tobacco produced.
It’s thanks to contract complications with True Blend, specifically, issues having to do with a surety bond.
Barrett says the bond wasn’t activated to give them the necessary funds to grow tobacco–or those with unsold tobacco in their barns weren’t able to get a contract because True Blend failed to meet it’s obligations. Continued
