(Malawi Today) Tobacco sales at Limbe Auction Floors officially closed on Friday with earnings falling by 36 percent to $46.5 million (K7.7 billion) from last year’s $72.1 million (K12 billion).
The major factor for the drop in revenue was poor prices.
But Tobacco Control Commission (TCC) regional manager (South) Richard Chinthunzi said the leaf’s prices improved tremendously towards the last days of the selling season. Continued
