Pride Cigars Channels Old West in Bandolero Cigars



(smokemag.com) Cuban-American and third-generation tabaquero Ares Contreras is bringing the spirit of rowdy Old West border towns to cigar shop humidors with Pride Bandolero, his company’s latest boutique premium cigar. Contreras is the president of Pride Cigars, and manufactures his own cigars in Santiago, Dominican Republic.
... Bandolero features triple-fermented Dominican and Nicaraguan filler and a Dominican binder. The Dominican-grown Habano wrapper is naturally dark and oily—it’s not processed as a maduro. Both binder and filler tobaccos are aged a full three years, and the finished cigars are aged in cedar chests for another six months. Continued
