Siglo Limited Reserve Maduro X (Torpedo) Cigar

The Siglo Limited Reserve Maduro cigar is a real looker, with it's shiny, cohibaesque, yellow & silver band, and matte powdered cocoa wrapper, it really stands out in the humidor. It leaves a good impression on the palate too. It's a pungent smoke, but there's more to it than mere strength. After the first boring, though not unpleasant, inch, the Reserve Maduro starts to get interesting, sharpening up almost to the point of biting, almost. In the meantime, other aspects of the blend are providing a smooth layer of slightly briny mildness. It's the cigar equivalent of sharp cheddar on saltines.
According to Perelman's Pocket Cyclopedia of Cigars (2011), Siglo Limited Reserve Maduro cigars are made in Santa Rosa de Copon, Honduras, consisting of a Mexican wrapper, U.S. Connecticut binder, and Nicaraguan/Dominican filler. They were created by the late Frank Llaneza in 2009.
