(Examiner) Visions of elder statesmen hashing out legislation or brokering political deals under a cloud of cigar smoke in the U.S. Capitol building will remain just that, following a decision by the incoming Speaker of the House of Representatives.
The Daily Caller reports that Rep. John Boehner, R–Ohio, has decided to not reinstate smoking in the Speaker's Room. Lighting up in the room had been banned by soon-to-be former Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D–Calif., in 2007. Prior to the ban in the room, located outside the House hall, smokers reportedly viewed it as a great spot to light up. Continued
