Gran Habano No. 5 Corojo Cigars: A Thrifty Treat - Or Not

Most cigar brands sound the same to me, they are all "Havana this" or "Don that," and a lot of them taste the same too - good, but nothing to blog about. So it was a pleasant surprise to light up a Gran Habano No. 5 Corojo and find it to be so flavorful. The cigar has a leafy, rich, vegetal flavor that reminds me of why I like cigars. The wrapper is an intense brown that reminds me of autumn. A great smoke all around, and surprisingly, it is also an affordable pleasure. That's not to say it's a bargain basement cigar, or the dreaded drugstore brand, they aren't cheap, but they won't cost you an arm and a leg. Several Gran Habano varieties are less than $4 a piece (by the box), a couple are closer to $3. And if that bothers you, don't worry, they offer some that cost well over four bucks too. The thrifty and the swell can both find satisfaction here. After all, the taste's the thing, and this is one tasty cigar.
