Cigar Factory Gets Reprieve from Demolition

BARTOW, FL (The Ledger) Preservationists hoping to save the dilapidated cigar factory in Bartow got a four-month reprieve from the wrecking ball Thursday.
... "This is the last historic industrial building in Bartow," he told historic review board members Thursday. "This is the city's historic culture. When it's gone, all you can do is put up a sign that it was here. People aren't going to visit a sign. It would be a crime, in my mind, to tear it down." Continued
