(Snubie) Well, AG Snus has done it - they were the first company to create a tobacco flavored nicotine pouch product. Up until now, we've had every flavor under the sun except tobacco, including: Apple Mint, Blackberry, Black Currant, Blueberry, Cinnamon, Citrus, Coffee, Eucalyptus, Ginger Blood Orange, Grapefruit, Licorice, Lime, Melon, Rhubarb, and Wintergreen.  I'm honestly amazed it took someone this long to make this. (Halfwheel) … The Daughters of the Wind Pony Express is a 6 x 48 corona gorda that also happens to be the first box-pressed release for Casdagli. As was previously mentioned, the new limited release incorporates a modified version of the company’s Daughters of the Wind blend, specifically an Ecuadorian habano wrapper that covers not only two binders—the first is a Costa Rican Puriscal while the second hails from Estelí, Nicaragua—but also a different internal blend in the form of a different proportion of Dominican oscuro ligero and Peruvian tobaccos. It is stamped on the left side of the shank Il Ceppo in an arch. On the right side of the shank it is stamped C3068. On the underside of the shank it is stamped Made by Hand over in Italy. It's one I've enjoyed for several years now, as well as their Lundgrens Norrland, which I hope is next to get a stark version.  This product just launched a few days ago as of the writing of this article, and I've been rather surprised with the amount of inquiries I've had to review it. "Deep and dark. Powerful yet refined. The smoky, leathery backdrop of Latakia is layered with an almost incense-like spice of rich orientals, with fine Virginias added for depth and a subtle sweetness. Like the classic roadsters that inspired its creation, Spark Plug has an alluring charm that invites you to rev it up and take it out for long drives in the country. Sliced thick or thin, it will never leave you stranded." - G. L. Pease

Padrón Black No. 200 Cigar Review

(Halfwheel) … I’m really amazed by the flavor that I’m getting from the Padrón Black No. 200 at the start of the second third, as while I’m used to what can be described as a robust profile, this feels even more robust than usual in some samples, so much so that it evokes the occasional hearty cough.
There is still some creaminess that helps soften things and gives the cigar depth, yet the finish of each puff reminds the senses of what’s at the core. Continued

Trinidad Espiritu Robusto Cigar Review

(Halfwheel) Altadis U.S.A. has tried to reinvent the Trinidad brand quite a few times, but its most recent attempt is unlike any before it.
Last year, the company introduced the Trinidad Espiritu, a five-size line packaged in colorful boxes and made by Abdel Fernández in Nicaragua. Both are departures for Altadis U.S.A.’s Trinidad brand, which has typically mimicked the Cuban version of the brand and made in the Dominican Republic.
For this attempt, Altadis U.S.A. used packaging inspired by Havana in the 1960s, including bright and colorful art.
As for the blend, it’s a Nicaraguan puro. Continued

Got a filthy estate pipe that you need to clean?

I have had the question asked enough that I asked Jeff to put together this blog so that you can get a clear picture of the process he uses. Epok No7 Freeze X-Strong S5 (Norway) Snus Review

(Snubie) Now, if you're new to Epok, you may be asking yourself what "white tobacco" is. This is how Winnington describes it: "White tobacco is produced in a patented, environmentally friendly process that gently cleanses and refines brown tobacco. In this process, unwanted substances are minimized, such as heavy metals and nitrosamines. The feeling under the lip, nicotine strength and flavor experience is the same as in a regular snus pouch - but without the snus running or coloring your teeth. White tobacco contains white tobacco, nicotine, water, stabilizer and flavoring agents. White tobacco is produced in a water-based process, ensuring the tobacco is clean of all unwanted substances. White tobacco contains no natural sugar. Instead, xylitol is used as a sweetener." Continued

(Snubie) … “Kontabas was created and bottled by my friend. He and his friend bought an old house in Transcarpathian Ukraine and found several large bottles in his old barn. Each bottle was tagged with the year of bottling - 1993.  Kontabas is an ancient national Ukrainian alcoholic drink with an amazing aroma and taste. If Horilka is a well-known folk drink for the masses, then Kontabas is a drink of intellectuals and sophisticated connoisseurs.  In this snus, we used Kontabas by Kontapel, a traditional Ukrainian blended alcoholic beverage based on blackcurrant buds.” Continued

Seattle Pipe Club Plum Pudding Bourbon Barrel Aged Review

(Pipes Magazine) … The tobacco cakes of PPBA are quite compressed, at least in the tin I have. They are dark, a little sticky and have a distinct layer on one of the outer edges that reminded me of fat on a steak. I made sure to break apart an appropriate portion of this lighter colored layer to give my smoke the best chance to make itself known.
The chunky nature of the tobacco makes it a little hard to load into a pipe and get the draw right, but it’s not tough to overcome. It takes to a flame nicely every time. Continued

Lars Tetens Serie D Robusto Cigar Review

(Halfwheel) Outside of a cigar company announcing it was for sale, there wasn’t a singular announcement in 2019 that generated quite the buzz like the reintroduction of Lars Tetens.

Two were apple shaped pipes stamped VB and one was a Croydon billiard. The stems were indeed loose on two of the pipes and stuck on the third pipe. The agency posted a clarification on its website today, in short, it’s illegal for anyone to sell tobacco products or e-cigarettes to anyone under 21, but the agency is currently only enforcing a minimum standard of the age of 18 during a “transition.” Continued

Many of these cigars come from titans in the industry—names like A.J.
